CAO La Traviata
Wow, what a great cigar. The reviews say this was designed to mimick a pre-nationalization Havana. From my experience of real Cubans, I believe it does so, minus the authentic natural Cuban-sweetness found in the real deal.
But this is highly enjoyable. For a full-bodied cigar, it’s well tamed, quite smooth and only the hint of spiceyness. With an overlaying tobaccony taste, there’s a nice underlying molasses-sweetness to it and just a hint of nuttyness.
Not too strong, not bland, and a great aroma, I’d love to get more of these, but so far the major online retailers don’t have any left! I need to remember what shop I purchased this from.
