CAO Osa Sol
A nice gigantasaurus 58 ring gauge stoagie, just how they all should be! This is a very mild smoke overall. The taste has a slight pepper taste to bit, but not at all overwhelming or annoying, and it’s quite nice to my mouth. It adds just a little something-something to the smooth draw and coco-like dry-sweetness (I know, that sounds conflicting) found in the taste.
The cocoa-sweetness continues in the aroma, containing other enjoyable deeper-sweet notes all around. There is a slight tinge to the nose with the smokey scent, so inhaling the aroma deeply isn’t really wise, but it’s something I found fun to tease for want of enjoying the scent coming from this.
Largely due to its size, I found myself comparing it to my other large-friend the Lovo Magnum Twist. Both of these monsters have a similair mellowness to them and lots of sweetness. A box of these CAO OSA’s are very well priced at just $100, so I may find myself ordering a box of this along with the Lovo soon, and a new humidor to hold ‘em!
One thing to note about this cigar is that the wrapper near the end started to rip apart on its own. It looks a bit nasty but didn’t really come apart too much beyond the photo here.
