Cigar.com Purple Label
Cigar.com’s purple label cigar, looking like a train wreck as I fumbled the cut.
This was a pretty unassuming smoke, maybe my taste’s aren’t developed enough for it but it was definitely light.
Updated on December 7th with Gordo size:
While I was apparently unmoved buy this cigar from the first review, that’s changed with this 60 ring gauge version as I now find this highly pleasing.
Overall it is a mild-to-medium cigar without any harshness, overpowering scents or gut-punching affects. The draw is quite smooth and tastes light on the mouth, leaving a very easy-going light, dry taste consisting of nuts and tobacco. There’s a slight creaminess to the taste, but more in texture than flavor.
The aroma is wonderful, it’s quite broad and gentile to the nose with that heavenly creaminess smelling with the heavyness of milk, chocolate, the richness of toasted nuts, and a light herbal tobacco quality. It’s not too harsh or burning to the nose unless placed up close to the nose, it fills the air in a non-intrusive manor with a mild-mannered cloud.
The Gordo Purple Label is a great easy-going cigar for such a large stick and definitely worth purchasing more of.
