Don Kiki Red Label
So after having thoroughly enjoyed a few of Don Kiki’s other-branded stoagies, as well as other cigars from Cuban Crafters in general, I was looking forward to trying a name offering from them.
This Red Label gets a lot of flack for being the ugly stick used to wreak ill on so many, but it offers a lot of beauty when you smoke it.
The taste is pretty consistent with wood and a distinct undertone of tobacco and herbs with a delightful sugary-sweetness that lingers in the mouth. Retrohaling reveals more of its woody character. It’s a light mild taste overall without any harshness or pepper.
The aroma is equally light to the nose, carrying more of that sugary-sweetness, continuing with a blend of mild tobacco a very light herbal note. It’s a very enjoyable blend!
Some reviewers say this is the weaker offering in Don Kiki’s lineup, and if that’s the case, the other cigars must be astonishing, especially at their pricepoint of 25 for $30. I must get to ordering his others, this is some great stuff!
