Genuine Pre-Embargo Counterfeit Cuban 1958

Gotta love the name of this one, and also that they’re aiming for the real authentic pre-embargo taste. I had high hopes for this!

And I was not let down! The immediate taste was of course harsh and bitter, but as with most cubans & other good cigars, that quickly goes away to reveal blissful sweetness, a great herbal quality and a very satisfying draw. The aroma also carried this taste well, but the herbal presence was something completely new to me, similar to the Hoyo de Tradicion. I have no idea what this smell or taste may be, but it was great. Not flowery or bouquette-ish. The cigar did have a slight peppery taste which did not detract from the other flavours. Simply a great combination.

I enjoyed this cigar, and for the price, I’ll be buying more.
