Hoyo De Monterry Tradicion
I don’t know where to start with this, it’s a completely different beast than anything I’ve smoked thus far. So let’s do the easy things: Mild strength, very complex aroma and a mysterious taste (to me!).
This is truly an original cigar, and it’s not overpowering at all. The aroma is really the most enjoyable part of cigar’s for me and this one is a huge winner. While only a tinge of spice is ever present, another reviewer on this cigar describes this well with hints of pear, cinnamon, graham (I taste this the most), cocoa (as opposed to a chocolatey-taste). The aftertaste & aroma is subdued floral; maybe a hint of rose, but not bouquet-ish or flowery at all.
My only gripe is that the draw was very tight, which took a little of the enjoyment out of it, but the complex taste & aroma by far made up for it.
Update 7/3/2011
I had purchased 5 of the Toro Grande of these and I must say the draw is incredibly smooth on these. Also, the flavor is much more relaxed (best as I can describe). I feel I am preferring the larger ring-sizes due to the draw and dispersion of taste.
