La Carolina

Another cigar from the Craig’s list deal coming from a Cuban Crafter’s sampler. I really don’t know the age of the cigars from this box, but so far all these smokes have been great.

This Carolina has a very peculiar sweetened tip, which I thought at first was artificial as in an infused stoagie. But after some research, it’s natural, and wow does it taste great. Tonguing the end of this stick isn’t typical sour or bitter like in most cigars, but sweet with a bit of tangyness or perhaps citrus. It’s a pleasant taste at any rate. There’s some wood taste present when you retrohale, even some smoked-meat taste left in the mouth. It’s very cool and far from harsh and hot.

The aroma is excellent as well being a milk-chocolaty aroma with some very deep herbal qualities. The smoke is not harsh or hot to the nose even up close.

I’m continually being impressed with the cigars from Cuban Crafters. This is definitely a tasty gem from them, though I feel it may need a month or so in a humidor to get mellowed.
