Perdomo Patriarch
Perdomo; Nicaraguan, Habano
Purchased a Perdomo sampler pack from cigar.com and here’s the first stick from the batch. At first light, there’s a harshness to it but this quickly goes away to reveal a very smooth chocolaty-caramel quality that’s quite enjoyable. Not too strong in taste either, as some earthyness and tobacco flavours mingle exquisitely together. The taste evolved and changed with the different qualities rearing up then receeding over the course of the smoke, keeping it pretty entertaining. The draw was very easy.
The aroma was equally rewarding with a nice sweet caramel texture with some floral or earthy notes to keep it interesting as well, with maybe some herbal notes lingering about.
An impressive cigar with a lot of enjoyment to offer. I felt this had a nice balance of tastes with no one overpowering feature. Definitely a winner!
