Victor Sinclair 10th Aniversario
To celebrate their 10th Anniversary, the blenders at Victor Sinclair spent several years perfecting a dynamic mix of Dominican tobaccos to make an exceptional cigar that sells at a reasonable price.
I enjoy Victor Sinclair’s cigars becasue they have a very unique tobacco quality to them, though I noticed it was not present in their Bohemian line. Regardless, their cigars have been thoroughly enjoyable and come with the amazing benefit of being very affordable.
This 10th Aniversario cigar is so good, it’s way to easy to smoke too fast! From first initial light, the taste is very smooth and lively with a nice mix of a caramel sweetness, the slightest nip of pepper, that unique VS tobacco taste, and the texture of wood and nut dryness. There’s a buttery-like quality to the aftertaste as well and a tang, but this tang yields to more tobacco after a short while. It’s very smooth on the draw, retrohales with a rich tobacco quality and wood, and is far from harsh and overpowering.
The aroma is heavenly sweet blend of caramel and sugar goodness but with a welcome mix of that great tobacco quality to liven it up. A light peppery brings a nice nippy-note to the nose carried by a mildly-hot, medium-thick cloud of smoke. There’s a few other layers that crop up from time to time, all on the earthy, rich side. The room-smell from this cigar brings about more sweetness, some cinnamon, and is quite enjoyable.
All around, this is a nice medium cigar that offers a great blend of sweetness and tobacco. The tastes evolves over the length of the smoke, keeping this 10-years in the making cigar far from dull. A box of 35 churchills plus a 15-cigar sampler is a great deal at $60 at cigarsinternational, IMHO.
