Victor Sinclair Connecticut Yankee

Ahh, a Victor Sinclair selection that contains more of the VS tobacco taste that I enjoy from them.

This Connecticut Yankee cigar starts off a bit brash with the taste being peppery or spicey, but quickly mellows out once it warms up to deliver a range of tastes. That lovely Victor Sinclair signature tobacco flavour melds with a smoked-meat sense, a rich, wet-earthy texture and some dry wood. This is all left with a nice smooth buttery-wrapped aftertaste in the mouth, and a mildly-pepperyness on the back of the tongue. Retrohaling bring out more of the dry-wood and smoked-meat taste, as well as that tobacco taste. Later on in the smoke, a tang crops up on the tip of the tongue. There’s an enjoyable range of tastes and it’s very well balanced.

The aroma is overly buttery and smooth, carrying a cooked, sweet-smoked meaty tobacco smell with it. There’s a hint of tangy citrus to it, as well as some pepper. The smoke isn’t too thick, but it’s hot to the nose. The room smell offered up from this cigar is a sweet butteryness with a note of citrus.

While there’s a lot of smooth sweetness to this cigar, it offers up layers of interest as it’s smoked, providing a highly enjoyable experience. Smooth on the draw (as always with VS cigars), and full of adventure in the aroma and always with that great Victor Sinclair tobacco quality, this is a great deal for $60.00 for 35 Churchills.
